EP 37 — Building Useful AI on Crypto Rails with Ejaaz

In our series of articles on revenue and fundamentals, we have been discussing why product-market fit will define the next generation of crypto products. Playing token games just won’t work anymore. Let us know if you are thinking of building something that lasts long and want to jam with ideas.

Hello,

Beneath the hype of AI x Crypto lies a simple, yet critical question: how do we build decentralised AI tools that people will actually want to use?

I explored this with Ejaaz in my latest episode.

We broke down the AI stack from first principles—what needs decentralisation, what doesn’t, and where real value accrues.

AI agents are pushing crypto-native UX to evolve. The old interfaces are too clunky, too technical, and simply won’t cut it for the next wave of users. Open-sourcing everything sounds wonderful in theory. But, in a world where edge matters, it could mean giving away your moat.

One thought stayed with me: crypto is building for crypto people, but mass adoption may come from those who don’t care about chains or wallets. They just want better tools. The infrastructure only matters if it fades into the experience.

In line with my latest article When Tokens Burn, we discussed why product-led growth will trump token-first strategies in this new cycle. As the lines blur between agents, apps, and infrastructure, execution clarity has never mattered more.

If you're a founder, operator, or just someone trying to make sense of where this is all going, you will enjoy listening to this episode.

Hoping to recover soon,
Saurabh Deshpande
